CLV was pleased to successfully extend its relationship with Edith Cowan University (ECU) in August 2013, achieving financial close on an agreement to add a second development to the Joondalup campus.
The 127-bed facility, constructed adjacent to the existing 148-bed village, opened to residents in January 2015.
Focused on providing high quality accommodation at an affordable price, this project is funded through the Federal Government’s National Rental Affordability Scheme. The funding allows accommodation to be provided below market rate in an area where average rental prices are beyond the reach of many students.
Residents enjoy a wide range of apartment choices and facilities such as a student lounge, recreation room, communal kitchen, wireless e-library, BBQ area, laundry and wifi throughout the property.
The extension is the second Stage 2 development CLV has undertaken at ECU, following a $37.5 million build that opened on the Mount Lawley campus in January 2011. CLV currently manages all of ECU’s on-campus accommodation, with 850 student beds across the Joondalup, Mount Lawley and Bunbury campuses.
