Asset Facilities Manager, UCA

Campus Living Villages (CLV) offers student accommodation to Tertiary students around New Zealand and the Globe.  We operate on a vision of supporting our students to Live, Learn and Grow.  Our team is integral to supporting students as they strive for academic success.

Based in Christchurch and reporting to the General Manager of Facilities Management, you will be responsible for planning, leading, operating and managing the CLV objectives.

Duties and responsibilities are likely to include:

  • Management of maintenance services to ensure facilities across UCA remain in good order
  • Creating and implementing annual maintenance plans for each village across UCA in conjunction with the LCCP
  • Ensure service request are attended to in a prompt manner and provide any technical or ‘hands on’ support where required
  • Develop and manage the life cycle plan
  • Develop the 3-year asset management plan
  • Develop appropriate scopes of works and contract documentation
  • In conjunction with others, coordinate the implementation of risk frameworks
  • Establish positive relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Comply and complete any reporting requirements
  • Management of facilities and housekeeping staff

This is a busy role working across multiple UCA sites, the ideal candidate will display the following:

  • Excellent technical understanding
  • High level of communication skills and able to work with a diverse range of people
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Experience in a senior facilities and asset management role where it has been necessary for you to influence senior management
  • Ideally you would have experience in a senior operational position in a services based industry
  • Ability to lead and work as part of a team
