Assistant Manager – Liverpool

Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for an Assistant Manager to join our Village team at Campus Living Villages, Albert Court, Liverpool.

 

The Assistant Manager will assist in the daily running and strategic direction of the Village, by working closely with the Village Manager, Village team and other Managers across our Villages.

The successful candidate will need to provide evidence of their Right to Work in the UK, any relevant qualifications and referee details for obtaining two employment references.

What will you be doing?

  • Oversee operation of all divisions of the Village, including the management of the StarRez database
  • Work with other functions and partners to plan and coordinate Summer Stays programme, Village Life events and University Open Days
  • Conduct site inspections and reports.
  • Liaise with the Regional Maintenance team to ensure quality and streamline delivery of services for students
  • Work with the Commercial Finance Manager and Village Director/Manager to manage and monitor the Village’s Budget and financial cash flows.
  • Provide reports (i.e. sales report, debt reports, balance score cards)
  • Assist Village Director/Manager in preparing the Village’s Annual Business Plan
  • Work with the Sales and Marketing teams to promote the Village
  • Act as an escalation point of contact for the Village team
  • Motivate and lead the team, supporting them in their development
  • Work closely with the People Team (HR) for any employee-relation issues.

 

What skills do you need to have?

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft office (Essential)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Essential)
  • Good knowledge of resident management systems (Desirable)

 

What Qualifications and Experience are required?

  • Hospitality Management qualification or equivalent experience (Desireable)
  • First Aid qualification (Desirable)
  • Management qualifications (Desirable)
  • Current Driver’s License (Desirable)
  • Experience in a residential environment including a busy front of house (Essential)
  • Experience of managing a team and multiple departments (Essential)

  • Permanent Position
  • 40 hours per week (worked between 8am and 8pm over 7 days)
