Community Manager – Kirkwood (12 Month contract)

CLV NZ offers student accommodation to tertiary students, around New Zealand.  We operate on a vision of supporting our residents to Live, Learn and Grow and run a number of programmes that bring this vision to life.  Every member of our team is integral to supporting students in the transition to adulthood and independence.

Applications are now invited for an enthusiastic person with exceptional interpersonal skills to assist the Village Manager in achieving our strategic goals by overseeing the Residential Life Program ensuring student success, wellbeing and engagement at Kirkwood Village.

This role is all about relationships and ensuring that Kirkwood is a safe and supportive environment which promotes community development, embraces diversity, academic success and supports residents. You’ll help achieve this by providing leadership and guidance to our team of Residential Assistants, role model positive behaviours, provide pastoral care and support the personal development and growth of our residents to successfully transition into University life.

Key to your success will be your ability to develop and sustain relationships, demonstrating a leadership approach that is inclusive, consultative and demonstrates high integrity and sound judgement. Ideally you will be experienced in providing youth pastoral care and have a knack for being empathetic whilst also ensuring compliance with policy, procedure and Health and Safety requirements.

The role requires the ability to occasionally work evenings (eg;12 – 8:30pm) and the occasional weekend during significant calendar events. You may also be required to respond to incidents out of business hours from time to time.
