The Role

An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business within RMIT Village, Melbourne, for a full time Customer Service Agent, reporting to the Village Manager.

Working within a small team, the Customer Service Agent is the first point of contact for the Village, responsible for the provision of customer service, through the operation of the reception services of the Village, handling contact with residents and visitors of the Village, assisting with sales and marketing and managing all questions, queries and deliveries. In addition, the role is responsible for processing and updating all applications, and assisting with Village operations, under the guidance of the Village Manager.

We are looking for someone with energy, positivity and initiative who is committed, flexible, friendly, confident and team-focused and who demonstrates integrity and high ethical standards.

Essential criteria for this role includes:

  • Commitment to consistently delivering the highest levels of customer service.
  • Basic accounting experience / experience with cash handling.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of full time/part time experience in a customer service/sales role.
  • Experience in customer relations, feedback response and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills that help foster and promote positive relationships with residents and a number of stakeholders on a range of different levels.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing priorities without compromising accuracy and customer service.
  • Team focused and able to demonstrate maturity and discretion.
  • Highly motivated with a positive ‘can do’ attitude and the ability to meet challenges.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management systems (preferably StarRez), web content management systems, social media platforms and Adobe InDesign (preferred).
  • Excellent phone manner.
  • An ability to work alone and to prioritise a varied workload.

CLV offers an attractive total fixed remuneration (TFR) which includes loadings, allowances, employer and personal superannuation contributions.
