About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business, for an Evening Duty Manager, reporting to the Village Manager. The role will be based across Queen Mary Building (800 beds) and Abercrombie Student Accommodation facility (200 beds) and will be on a full time basis.

The Evening Duty Manager is responsible for the Village operations in the absence of senior management outside of business hours. The role will be rostered on a 6 week rotational basis and will include on average three overnight shifts a week including weekends.

This is not a traditional hotel style role and requires a common-sense approach to conflict resolution and Resident management.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accommodation related customer service role in an equivalent position, preferably student accommodation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Experience in customer relations, feedback response and dispute resolution.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, database management systems.
  • Ability to meet tight timeframes without compromising accuracy and customer service whilst maintaining a calm and friendly approach.
  • A formal qualification in hotel, marketing or business management (desirable).
