About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists through our Australian business entity within the RMIT Village for a Facilities Manager, reporting to the Village Manager.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the delivery of the day-to-day and long term facility management of the buildings.

Duties

  • Presentation of the Buildings
  • Supervision of cleaning
  • Managing day-to-day repair work
  • Managing contractors/subcontractors in delivering various maintenance services to the facilities
  • Managing building maintenance and planning
  • Assisting in the management of the any DLP (Defect Liability Period)
  • OH&S champion for the site

Skills and Experience required:

  • Maintenance within a service based industry, preferably accommodation related.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct minor repairs to residential property.
  • Excellent customer service skills with experience in a customer relations capacity or a role with direct customer contact.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines, without compromising safety and customer service.
  • Previous experience or ability to quickly learn in-house Property Management Systems.
  • A good understanding of reporting and analysis of various facilities functions.
  • Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office 2013.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and safe working practices.
  • A trade qualification (preferably in electrical, plumbing, or building)
  • Current Australian drivers’ licence.
  • Current National Police Check.
  • Current VIC Working with Children Check.

CLV offers an attractive total fixed remuneration (TFR) which includes employer superannuation contributions.
