The Role

An exciting opportunity exists for the role of a HR Advisor to join the team on a full time basis. Our office is currently based in the Sydney CBD, however, will be possibly relocating to North Ryde in a couple of months.

Reporting to the Head of HR ANZ, this role will be responsible for providing operational support in all people related matters including recruitment and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and work with hiring managers to facilitate end to end recruitment including revision of position descriptions, advertising internally and externally, shortlisting, reference checking, selection, on boarding and induction plans.
  • Manage the bi-annual Performance Review process.
  • In consultation with the hiring manager, coordinate the induction/orientation for new employees in the Corporate office.
  • Ensure all newly appointed employees have completed Working with Children Checks and National Police Checks. Check and update the register as required.
  • Coordinate the quarterly Reward and Recognition program.
  • Provide first line response to employment queries from employees and managers.
  • Advise and support managers regarding investigations, disciplinary cases, grievances, performance improvement plans and absence management.
  • Contribute to regional and group HR projects and initiatives.

Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience of providing a high quality HR support service in a fast-paced commercial or service organisation.
  • Experience of successfully managing employee relations cases, including conducting investigations and providing support during disciplinary meetings.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Relevant business tertiary qualification or HR certificate, or equivalent HR or people management business experience (Essential)
  • Ability to exercise confidentiality at all times
