The Logistics Manager will be responsible for creating a standard operating procedure for asset inventory management, delivery receipt, transfer practices, and invoice delivery reconciliation. This position shall track the progress of deliveries of major works and large orders, and can oversees personnel and processes of deliveries. Additionally, this position will work on major works projects communicate and work with suppliers in This position is responsible for troubleshooting problems with deliveries or damaged goods during the shipping process and tracking vendor returns and warranty claims.

Record keeping is a key component of this position. All assets and deliveries under the care of this position must be entered into an inventory management system, and verified against delivery invoice.

  • Related duties;
    • Develop, achieve buy-in for, & implement effective logistics strategies
    • Identify, initiate, and manage cross-functional logistics projects using appropriate project management expertise & methodologies
    • Work to upgrade inventory management system
    • Manage supply vendors and Inventory management functions
    • Manage Inventory purchasing strategies to achieve turn goals
    • Coordinate inventory and deliveries and work to reduce freight, transportation and delivery costs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Supervision of logistics and inventory management at multiple site (required)
  • Student Housing/Student furniture or Furnished housing inventory management (preferred)
  • Some form of Logistics management software and/or tracking Database experience
  • Strong background in the development and sustainability of inventory management processes and systems
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in inventory management and supervision
