What are we looking for?

We are now recruiting for an Operations Manager on a permanent basis to join our team based in Dashwood Student Village in South East London.

You’ll be taking the Operational lead in the day-to-day running of the Village and to support the Village Director in the strategic direction of the Village, by working with Duty Manager, Maintenance staff and Cleaners.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Management and Supervision of Village Operations.
  • Organise and manager Summer Stays programme.
  • Oversee development, review and management of policies and procedure for efficient processing of new student applicants and residential agreements.
  • Conduct site inspections and liaise with Regional Maintenance Manager and Assistant Regional Maintenance Manager to ensure resident room checks reports are completed to provide a streamlined delivery of services for students.
  • Plan and execute a variety of activities in line with the company philosophy and Village budget.
  • Assist the Village Director with the preparation of the Village’s annual business plan
  • Marketing and sales coordination in conjunction with the Village Director and Sales team.
  • Plan and coordinate university open days.
  • Provide Peer support by working closely with the Resident Life team and carry out their required tasks.

What technical skills do you need to have?

  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Good knowledge of resident Management Systems
  • Experience in residential environment including busy front of house
  • Experience in managing a team and multiple departments.
  • The successful applicant will undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality management qualification or equivalent experience
  • First Aid qualification
  • Management Qualifications
  • Current Driver’s License
