Who are we looking for?

 

We are looking for an outgoing and organised individual to manage the administrative tasks of our Procurement function and support the wider business in sourcing goods and suppliers from existing framework agreements. With a keen eye on detail, you have the ability to build rapport quickly across a broad range of stakeholders and the tenacity and energy to work in a fast paced environment.

 

You enjoy the routine of processing information, responding to emails, maintaining databases and dealing with other regular administrative tasks, at all times managing your own workload and escalating issues when required. To assist the Head of Procurement in the delivery of commercial tenders, you are able to deal with complex spreadsheets, understand how to process data and interpret information. You will be eager to learn and develop to take on the management of small commodity supply contracts, demonstrating your ability to identify and follow through actions across internal and external stakeholders through your strong communication skills. Assertive and always professional, you enjoy creating strong relationships built on trust, honesty and your ability to deliver on your promises.

 

This role may suit a graduate of Finance or Business Studies who has already gained experience in Administrative Financial Functions during their work Experience, as well as those already experienced within a Purchasing or Procurement role. Technical Skills

  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to independently prioritise workload (Essential)
  • Excellent written, numeracy and oral communication skills in preparing reports, presentations and analysis (Essential)
  • Able to build rapport and communicate clearly operational requirements to a broad range of stakeholder groups (Essential)
  • Demonstrating high ethical standards, integrity and commitment to all business and commercial dealings (Essential)
  • Energetic, and outgoing with a desire to achieve outstanding results in a team environment and ensure the highest standard of outcomes (Desirable)

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • CIPS Procurement qualification or working towards the qualification (Desirable)
  • Undergraduate qualification in finance or business management, supply chain management or similar discipline (Essential)
  • Demonstrable experience in working in a commercial, fast paced environment (Essential)
  • Experience in a procurement/purchasing role or graduating from a related course (Essential)
