The University of Sydney Camperdown and Darlington Campus has three modern purpose built  student accommodation facilities, the Queen Mary Building, Abercrombie Student Accommodation and the newest facility The Regiment – Student Accommodation which opened in February.

The Role

An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business, for two Residential Life Coordinators, reporting to the Residential Life Manager. The role will be based across all three sites and will be on a part time basis (20 hours/week).

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate student experience events and activities to enhance community engagement and community development.
  • Serves as a supervisor to the Resident Assistant team in the organising and creation of resident events and activities.
  • Organizing, promoting, and running of Resident events and activities
  • Assist with the Village Residential Life program.
  • Act as a key point of contact regarding all aspects of village life.
  • Establish positive relationships with internal and external Village stakeholders.

Essential criteria for this role includes:

  • Experience in a similar position in residential halls or colleges.
  • Experience in running small and large scale events and activities.
  • Experience using accommodation management software such as ‘StarRez’.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of competency in MS Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise a range of tasks.
  • Degree or Diploma in marketing/conference and events management or relevant experience.
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
