Who are we looking for?

We are currently looking for an experienced Social Media and PR Manager to join our Marketing team at Campus Living Villages. You’ll be working on social media, PR, internal and external communications and resident communications.

As an accommodation provider for students, we are looking for someone to bring our brand to life on social. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, creative marketer to make this role their own. As well as managing the social media channels this person will be responsible for handling press and influencer relationships, as well as owning our internal, crisis and corporate communications, so attention to detail and the ability to handle sensitive situations is essential.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and execute the social strategy covering Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram
  • Daily creative writing and content creation
  • Working with the in-house designer to bring our campaigns to life online
  • Working closely with multiple departments to ensure our content reflects our messaging as a business
  • Researching the latest trends and techniques to improve our social and community performance
  • Sharing our internal culture across relevant platforms
  • Reporting figures and successes to the business
  • Managing the internal communications strategy (covering internal emails, video updates, all user updates and head office digital screens)
  • Work with our departments and Villages to build relationships, uncover stories and understand what is newsworthy
  • Managing proactive and reactive press coverage opportunities
  • Manage the selection, development and utilisation of a variety of communications media to meet all types of customer and stakeholder communication needs
  • Implement and manage public relations strategies and activities, overseeing media releases, events, advertising, conference attendance and communications to partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor media coverage of Campus Living Villages in the region and globally
  • Working with the villages to monitor the progress of crisis matters
  • Creating and executing the communications action plan should an issue arise


Qualifications/Experience required:

  • At least three years’ experience in a similar function (Essential)
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to adapt writing style to suit different audiences and communications media (Essential)
  • ICT /digital capability to effectively utilise current and future technology in Campus Living Villages’ marketing and media strategies (Essential)
  • Achievement orientated with a desire to achieve outstanding results in a team environment (Essential)
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills (Essential)
  • Excellent attention to detail (Essential)
  • Self-motivated, and willing to take the initiative (Essential)
