What are we looking for?

We are now recruiting for a Tax Assistant at our Village Central, Manchester to support the annual Corporation Tax cycle; including submissions and payments using tax software. You will be preparing statutory accounts tax workings and notes for annual group company accounts, assisting with VAT returns and optimising VAT recovery. You will also provide tax advice supported by the UK Tax Manager, working with the following teams; Finance, HR, Operations, Sales, Legal and Developments, as well as Auditors and external advisors.

What do you need to have?

A relevant tax qualification (i.e. ATT, CTA or a similar tax qualification) would be desirable  or working towards such qualification (with potential for CLV support).

Two or more years experience of tax software (e.g. Alphatax and Alphatag), good Microsoft Excel and Word skills.

Solid technical knowledge of Corporation Tax and VAT.

Finance and Financial Accounting background.

Analytical and interpretative skills with good a skill for communicating taxation clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.

Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills.
