About the Role

An exciting opportunity exists in our Australian business, within our Southern Cross University Village – Lismore campus for the role of Village Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations.

The Village Manager oversees the day to day operation of the Village and is responsible for managing a team to deliver a great customer service experience and, a vibrant community culture to the Village Residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work in conjunction with the Village management team to promote a vibrant community culture.
  • Oversee the Residential Life program ensuring a cross section of events that appeal to a diverse community.
  • Work closely with University Support Services to deliver support to residents
  • Implementation and delivery of systems to promote a customer first culture
  • Ensure the Village is effectively promoted at all appropriate University events including open days and events.
  • Develop processes and procedures that enhance administration effectiveness and customer service.
  • Responsible for managing a team comprising of Customer Support Agents, Duty Manager, Community Coordinator and Residential Assistants.
  • Responsible for training and development of direct reports.

This is a hands-on role and we are looking for someone with energy, positivity and initiative who is committed, flexible, confident and who can work alongside the team providing direction whilst demonstrating integrity and high ethical standards.

Essential Experience and Skills

  • Previous experience in Property Management in a student accommodation setting or, at Operations Manager level in a 4+ star hotel environment.
  • Experience in a high volume face to face customer support environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with ability to analyse and collate reports.
  • Demonstrated experienced in event management and planning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills that promote positive relationships with stakeholders and residents.
  • Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, property management systems such as StarRez.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to think outside the square in problem solving.
  • Ability to assist residents in accessing welfare and support services as required.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and energy in a customer service environment with a proven ability to work with and relate to young adults.

CLV offers an attractive total fixed remuneration (TFR) which includes employer superannuation contributions.
