Massey Albany Student Accommodation Village (Auckland, New Zealand) has become the first and only New Zealand hall of residence to be awarded a five star Qualmark rating.
The CLV-managed site scored top marks in stringent quality standards, including location, convenience, cleanliness and resident support.
The rating is a very important step towards Massey University’s vision of creating a living, breathing community on campus, according to Massey University Vice-Chancellor, Steve Maharey.
“This Qualmark five-star rating signals to people there is a quality of accommodation here which is really attractive, and the feedback has been tremendous. It has set a very high standard,” he said.
Village General Manager, Richard Lloyd, says it is a wonderful achievement. “The Qualmark rating isn’t just about the quality of the building, it’s about the processes behind it. All round as an operation, it’s fantastic.”
Qualmark is New Zealand Tourism’s official mark of quality, offering ratings on accommodation from luxury hotels to backpackers accommodation. The rating is a trusted guide to quality travel experiences, making it easy for guests to select high quality places to stay, things to do and ways to get around.
