William Chen joins CLV as a seasoned finance executive with over 15 years of diverse experience spanning corporate finance, public accounting, M&A, and operations across multiple industries (Healthcare, Technology, Retail and Business/Industrial Services).
Prior to CLV, William was a head of finance at Apache Industrial Services, a $1.0 billion dollar industrial services company where he launched the finance function and built the team from scratch. Before Apache, William also spent over a decade in various professional services firms as consultant, banker, and auditor.
William brings with him significant M&A transaction experience, having managed buy- and sell-side transactions with combined transaction value of ~$40 billion at Lazard Freres and Citigroup in New York, as well as operational finance experience at Accordion partners where he advised sponsors and portfolio company executives/board on projects ranging from standing up finance function at a new investment to devising financial strategy underlying value creation plans. Previously, William also spent time as a consultant at KPMG Transactions Services and auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.
William holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, as well as Masters in Accounting and Bachelors of Business Administration degrees from The University of Texas at Austin; William is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) as well as a Level III CFA Candidate
